Hello and merry christmas

Back in 2005 I took out a £200 provident loan and had to pay back £10 per week. I had some crap with the agent who used to call when she wanted and at one point she didn't call for 7 weeks!! Anyway payments resumed as normal and it happened again so I contacted provident to tell them and found out I had £100 left to pay on my loan. My dad kindly lent me the money to pay them off. When the agent called she tried offering me a new loan which I refused so she crossed out my loan as paid and took the payment book with her. I haven't heard anything about this since untill september when motormile started emailing me saying I had an outstanding debt with provident of £272!!!! I've emailed them back saying it was paid off over 7years ago but they send me at least 2 emails a day saying their going to visit me at home. I've been emailing them saying I do not wish to arrange such an appointment. Its really stressing me out now as I'm not going to pay them for something I've already paid off.

Any help and advice would be very helpful

Hello and Welcome,

If anyone were to turn up tell them where to go, even if you were due them anything the debt would be well Statute Barred.

You can either ignore them or send the 'prove it' letter..................

Looks like Motormile have gathered a shed load of Statute Barred debts hoping they can squeeze some money out of those not in the know.
