Interior overspray on a pre reg car.

I bought a pre reg car with delivery miles on the clock, on inspection the car was as you would expect bar a scratch on the passenger side of the dashboard which I was told would be repaired by an interior specialist to a high standard before collection. But after picking the car up on Saturday I have discovered that there is overspray all over the passenger side of the dash and some other trim parts. I feel at this moment I want to give the dealer a chance to resolve the issue, by chemically removing the overspray providing it doesn't further damage the interior or replace the dashboard parts which have been over sprayed. I am not prepared to let them paint over the top of the overspray and have a fully resprayed dashboard in a brand new car. Any ideas where I stand on this? Can I reject the car as this is not the sort of issue that a brand new car should have?

I'd say you need to take action on it. Paint on the dashboard is not as you'd expect a new car to be. Send it back and request it be sorted before taking things further. Keep it friendly, they may do it all and keep you sweet as you've just paid them money.
