Cold weather payments

I don't know if this has been answerd but just wondering has the goverment axed cold weather payments?

 

I am on Jobseekers and just wondering if they haven't will I get 1? as I live alone in my flat and I am 26 and if I get 1 I can put more on my gas :wink:

Hi gayguy. As long as you are on income based jsa and the average temperature falls to the trigger point you will get the extra £25 per week. The winter fuel allowance is for pensioners. Much warmer with someone in bed with you!

It doesn't often happen in the lower half of the country as the temperature has be an everage of 0 for the whole of 7 days. So if it's -2 Sunday through Thursday, 4 degrees on Friday and then -2 on saturday there is no cold weather payment.
