Hello

I work as an IT Contractor, my umbrella company (Edit) say they pay me a slightly higher rate instead of holiday pay and when i asked if there was the option to pay a lower rate and take paid leave i was told they don't do this which only leaves me the option of finding another umbrella co. My agency (Edit) aren't responsibe for it?

This kind of scheme was declared illegal by hmrc a while ago. You are entitled to paid leave.

No it wasn't. Subject to certain conditions, rolled up holiday pay is lawful.

Any advice given is done so on the assumption that recipients will also take professional advice where appropriate.

Hi!

I have the same question, so I don't want to open a new thread.

I am self employed and working for the same company for two years as a delivery driver, same days and fixed hours every week.

I receive my pay via an agency who has a contract with them.

My question is, should I be entitled for any paid holiday or not?

K13 wjd could you elaborate on you eat and what was considered to class you as employed rather than self employed. I am just about to start proceedings on this (see my thread). It would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there.

This is a link to your thread, to save k13 having to look for it.
