Hi,

i recieved a notice of seizure of goods and inventory today, posted through the front door while i was in.

Its for a parking charge i was completely unaware about until today.

I have spoken to the bailiffs office and obtained the penalty charge number and having looked on the councils website its a genuine parking ticket....photos of the car from every angle.

the parking ticket is from 1st March this year and its the first i know about it. we moved house earlier in the year.

i have paid the parking ticket online....but my question is will i have to pay the bailiffs fees?

if i do the out of time witness statement (TE7 and TE9) will this bounce it back to the council who have now been paid.

Did you advise DVLA of your change of address? If so, roughly how long after you had moved?

Which bailiff company are enforcing the debt?

Was a Notice of Seizure posted through your CURRENT address?

Which local authority?

We moved about a month before the parking offence, and the dvla were informed of a change of address about the april time when i did not recieve a notice to renew my car tax and i realised i had not sent off the v5.

there is no company name on the seizure letter, just an address at the town hall. Its hartlepool council.

the seizure letter has come to my current address. hand delivered, but i was in and nobody knocked at the door. Car was parked out front.

speaking to the bailiff today as his office just insist i must pay in full, but cant tell me what the charges are.

seizure letter was a carbon copy and my details have overwritten the previous person he visited.

was considering writing to the data commisioner as i can clearly read most of this other guys details.
