My claim against Citibank has been transferred to my local court in Reading. I presume that Citibank cannot now get it changed to Salford?

By the way their defense letter was signed by a 'Helena Forsgardh Alstrup, Lawyer for the Defendant' Strewth...

You sure about the spelling of this name I cannot find her on the registers it could be she is a non-public access barrister. If she isn't a registerd lawyer there could be more fun for Citi i.e. its illegal to call yourself a lawyer, solicitor or barrister if you do not hold a current practice licence.

I have submitted my claim and they have acknowledged and have until next week to respond. I got a letter from Helena Alstrup these week stating a load of legal jargon but consequently offering me a third of what I am claiming as they dont want to go to court as it may end up in me paying costs if I lose! Funny, there was me thinking that didn't happen in small claims courts!!!!

Sending them a letter back politely refusing!

Sounds like the same letter I got however they offered to pay the 'full' amount (actually 45 pounds less) so I am going to send another letter back saying I will accept if they re-submit their offer with exactly the full amount I demanded.

Icydee - that's sounds promising. How long did it take for them to make this offer???

I got the letter from the court (can't off-hand remember the form) with the citibank defense attached indicating they would defend in court.

The following day I got the letter direct from Citibank with the offer to settle out of court.

Hi Guys,

Our of curiosity, has anyone had any issues with Citi Fin in getting the SAR back correctly? According to the one poxy sheet they sent me, I have made payments but its no help whatsoever.

Their reason being, that there was No Manul intervention.

Regards,

Ron
