have you made the claim for deposit direct to protection scheme?

If LL claiming some or all and you dispute this then use scheme to sort using ADR service or take LL to court and let them sort it.

LL can only claim for whats fair.

What is LL claiming for from deposit and why did you replace carpets (at own expense?

Did you get LL prior consent to replace carpets etc?

Hello there! I own a cleaning business and do alot of end of tenancy cleans etc...ask your landlord/lettings agent to provide you with details of why they cannot return your deposit and if it is to do with the condition of the property ask for a check list/itinery and go through the list and clean everysingle little thing listed to the standard they require and demand your deposit back. They charge ridiculous amounts of money for a tiny little mark on the wall etc.I have dealt with people who have moved into disgusting/dirty/damp properties and the landlords expect them to return the property in a pristine condition else they hold onto their deposits. They should not be allowed to get away with it. Good luck hope you get back your deposit :)
