Hi all,

Well myself and the wife had a loan with the Halifax a long time ago which was fully repaid,

we filed a claim regarding the PPI of which the bank has offered the sum of £2,555.99 which was great news.

However in 2009 I was declared bankrupt following an illness and discharged the same year in fact within 6 months.

My question is what happens to the PPI claim as it was in joint names,

as the Halifax want to send all the funds to the OR,

but we could do with the funds as recently lost my job.

Will the OR release half the claim.

Any help would be great

Strange thing as Halifax refunded direct to myself & wife in May 2013 a claim for PPI £6,500.00 and their was no reference to the old bankruptcy, they made offer which we accepted.

It was a loan which was repaid in fully, and this new claim was credit card. That may have been why the refuse to send the payment, until I get a letter from the OR confirming they are happy for the funds to be released direct to myself.

will call the OR / Insolvency service to see if they agree, you never know fingers crossed
