Consortium Reclaim are a company that convince people like me that they can clear your debts for a commission

which was to be taken from my credit card which would get written off any way! S

i fell for it over 2 years ago..

.they stalled and prolonged each time

convincing me i had a case and they could wipe my credit card debt off,

referred me to Barristers Credit clear Services

who i had to pay an admin fee and still about a year on i have not got anywhere?

Credit clear services just give me a load of speil about how backlogged they are

and they will give me an update when they can???

Didnt know if anyone on here has had dealings with these companies and either they have done what they say they are going to or whether anyone was refunded??

OK that's better.

Well it looks like you found out the hard way that it is all nonsense.

After two years they have done nothing for you at all (which of course is no surprise).

So have they actually taken any money from you?

Yes Consortium £900 approx and Credit Clear Services £149. Have spoken to Credit Clear services today and they say they are dealing with it....Very unhelpful, inpolite but they say that Consortium went into liquidation??? Grrrrr gutted... Is there anything I can do???

Well if Consortium are in liquidation it may well be that you have lost your £900 sadly.

As for the other lot I would be writing to them to cancel any contract you might have with them and on the basis that they have been able to do nothing get them to refund your money.

Tell them to provide evidence of any work that has been done.

They will probably not be able to provide any in which case, if they don't refund your money, I would issue in the small claims court to get it back.

Then do any reclaiming yourself.

Thanks for your help......May avoid the reclaiming and just pay my debts in future. While we're on the case how did the courts rule the bank charges as I have just got charges of 25.00 from my santander....I thought they had reduced the charges?

If you have stuff to reclaim then go for it but do it yourself. Start a thread in the appropriate forum if you need help.

Basically the banks won but all is not necessarily finished as far as reclaiming bank charges goes. It will depend on circumstances. The Santander forum will be the place to post your question on their charges and the possibility of getting them back.
