Hi everyone,

I managed to get involved with these payday loans again, i'm pretty calm about it as i've been in this mess before so you would have thought i would of learned my lesson by now!

I'm not worried about the payday lenders at all, i'm more concerned with how RBS have let them take money from my account even though i didn't have enough funds to cover the payment.

I don't have an overdraft i'm only a basic account holder so now i am -£46 getting charged £6 per day or whatever it is, i spoke to RBS on the phone and they said there is nothing they can do about it as the payments were pre authorized. The lady said she will put me through to the switch or something who might be able to cancel the debit card payments, but as they haven't gone through yet they were unable to until tomorrow.

Can they even cancel these visa debit card payments and get some of the money returned? As i was paid my last payment of £79 on friday, 3 payments of £60, £37 and £37 went out which put me overdrawn.

The lady on the phone said they will definiately be able to cancel the card payments tomorrow if i called the number, so what's stopping me from calling the money back to my card from all the other payments they have taken over the last few months?

Sorry for all the rambling on i hope it makes sense, i just need these two questions answered and any other information would be very helpful thank you.

- What's stopping me from calling all the other debit card transactions back?

- Will they actually call the money back at all?

Thanks

If these amounts are coming off debit cards, you need to get down to your bank and cancel any continuous payment authorities then DEMAND a chargeback.

It's your money - the bank can't tell you how to spend it!

Hi, same here but with Lloyds TSB they let Payday Express take £252.00 even when the account had zero cash and no overdraft, now lloyds chasing and adding their fees, the banks are just as bad as the PD lenders.

They are probably worse than the pd lenders, they don't lend you any money when you need it so you go to payday lenders, then chuck on £10 per day charges for lending you a temporary overdraft you didn't even want in the first place.
