I have been checking my credit file regulary.I have an Mbna card which was defaulted in 2010

It says that the debt has been assigned but not to who. As the balance is just over £1800, why hasn 't

a DCA come forward to claim their prize ? I am not hiding and the CRA has my current address, is this unusual ? Any ideas ?

It is not unusual as sometimes these get passed around or they could be holding the account until they decide to pass to a DCA>

What I find interesting is , abc credit card /loan/bank will instruct a DCA to pursue the debt, when they fail abc credit card /loan/bank will try another DCA to have a go. . What makes them think another DCA will get a result ?

IT's done with the intention to mislead a debtor into believing that the debt has been passed to a ''higher'' authority.

You miss the point .Not avoiding paying, I do not know who to pay as the debt has been sold on by the OC . What to do phone around the DCas

and ask if they have my debt. Phone the OC and open a can of worms.

Hi thanks hope you have a good Christmas.

A discussion is fine but posting to provoke argument wastes everyones time.
