Contact the Data Controller of the OC and request the removal ot their entry, put a notice of dispute on that entrywith the CRAs you will need to do this with all the agencies displaying 2 entries, only the DCAs entry should show.

Once the Debt is sold on the OC with take theirs off and the New owner will put theirs on ;)

If DCA is only acting on Behalf of the OC then there wont be 2 defaults ..not that I Know of anyways ;)

not quite.

the dca [buyer]

simply has their name substituted where the OC's was

they CANNOT enter a 'new' default

only have their name replace the OC's for the EXISTING one.

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

There is a sly change creeping in here with the palcing of entries on CRA files after a sale or assignment more and more I see both the OCs and the assignees entries side by side imo this is wrong and I have written to the ICO for guidance on this today.
