I have an agreement sent up with Halifax for my credit card.

I wrote to them sent it recorded delivery (with a copy of my ESA agreement) they then contacted me.

The lady took all my details, plus my monthly income and outgoings.

I pay £10 a month for to be reviewed in 6 months time, the agreement was set up 2 months ago over the phone (I have all the details).

Today I received a letter telling me to pay the outstanding balance or else they will take me to court.

In big letter letters they have also asked me to ring them.

I have not broken that agreement, can they do this - and do I have to pay.

I cannot pay, but what I mean is can they take me to court.
