I have checked and this bailiff is certificated with Equita. He is also named in the paper.

Dosnt it make you sick though. There are genuine people out there who struggle every day trying to pay their rent etc :mad2: especially now it is all changed and people on benefits have had their reduced. Loved to know how she is getting so much HB for a 4 bed house with only one child.

Here we have a bailiff who is meant to be law abiding, probably collecting on behalf of the people he is defrauding. How ironic is that.

I hope he loses his certificate over this, there are just far too many rogue bailiffs out there thwarting the law, its about time the powers that be started doing something about it instead of talking about it as they do too often and nothing changes.

Those who defraud the benefits are responsible for why genuine people who have no choice but to claim are made to suffer. This is not an isolated case either. Bailiffs have been reported many times for fraudulent behaviour. It just seems that many fraudsters become bailiffs because they know how to milk the system so it benefits them and here we have proof of it happening.

sadly seanamarts this is all too true, and a bailiff should be beyond reproach, here at CAG we know the uncomfortable for the authorities, truth about these legalised burglars and bullies.

The bailiff: A 12th Century solution re-branded as Enforcement Agents for the 21st Century to seize and sell debtors goods as before Oh so Dickensian!

Seanamarts.

Thank you so much for providing a copy of this article. Sadly, I am not in the slightest bit shocked. I wonder whether Mr Nathaniel Simon has informed his employer that he is in court regarding this most serious matter. I would hazard a guess that many local authority clients would not be happy to read this story.

When you know the outcome could you post details.

Simon described their involvement as an “off-off relationship” and said he had been trying to win her heart.

Not knowing when to cut his losses seems to have spilled over in to his private life... LOL

Think the Express have her age wrong. Surely they meant 49 ! All the stress from benefit fraud, must cause a lot of wrinkles.

I will keep my eye out on it and will post up here when they get a judgement.

If his bosses didnt know, they do now  I might even send the court where he was certificated a clipping of the story.

Both the bailiff and his “friend” appear to have been on police bail since April. The full story can be found in the following newspaper article. from the Daily Mail.

There has been a 3 day trial and as can be seen from the Guardian link....both have been cleared......
