Hello people

I need a bit of advice please a letter was received from Phillips & Cohen on 7th of November at fathers house even though he was no longer married to my mam .

My mam passed away in November 2009 and i dealt with bills etc nothing was left and rented flat etc these people are after over 3000 pounds from the estate but nothing exists is it best just to ignore these people

or tell them that there was nothing left also i did find there letter distressing as it was received only a day or two to the day mam passed over sounds like these people are heartless

what do you people think thanks inadvance for any info

I I'm sorry for your bereavement,

Do you have a solicitor dealing with the estate?

If not send the following letter to P & C.

Ref: as on their letter.

Re: Mrs. xxxxxxxxxx Deceased.

I am in receipt of your letter dated xx xx xxxx regarding the estate of my late mother,it s most distressing to receive such a letter after such a long time since she passed away in November 2009.

To make matters clear there are NO funds in my mothers estate since all priority debts have been cleared, there is no property to be sold or goods of any value.

You will now cease to contact any member of my family in regard to this matter, you will remove all data relating to Mrs. xxxxxx from your records with immediate effect.

If your require further information regarding this matter you must seek it via public information.

Final Response.

RD this addressed to the Data Controller.

hello BRIGADIER2JCS

Thank you for your reply I was the only person dealing with the estate in 2009 and no solicitor was involved as there wasn't any money

All stuff was given away etc. I paid rent and phone bill that was it really.

I will send the letter soon and thanks for your advice time and kind words
