Hi all,

when a prospective new employer says subject to credit checks what does this actually mean?

Do they check for bankcruptcy and fraud or the whole lot i.e. credit rating.

The reason I ask is that been offered a couple of jobs recently that refer to this (I work in financial services/insurance)

and I worry

a) of getting turned down for a job and

b) kicking debt chasers into life if potential employers are checking.

Anyone got any knowledge on this?

I dont have and fraud or bankruptcy on my records

but do have a failed IVA appx 5/6 years old and around 60k debt related to this.

Thanks

defaults , ccj's etc will be a problem.

what does your file say?

any of those?

dx

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

It would be best to come clean with any prospective employer, before any checks are made.

Are there defaulted accounts on files that are recent?
