Hi

I bought a bike for £100 on a website specialising in bikes. Everything was fine with the bike, until I used it, things started falling off, breaking, not working as they should. I have not contacted the seller as of yet, as I would like to get some info on where I stand first. On the website, it says

"Any item can be returned to us for any reason provided it is returned unused with its original packaging and a valid receipt"

I understand that (as I have used it, once) i am 'excluded' from this section above, but have I still got a right to refund? I am well within the 28 day period, as I only bought this bike 1st November. If any other info is needed I will be happy to provide.

Thanks

When you received it did you have to build it yourself ?

Yes, however it was part built, and the part built items are the ones that are breaking/not working

If it was me I would send them an email outlining exactly what has gone wrong.....utter rubbish about "any item can be returned "unused" how can you possibly do that without trying it first....!! did you buy it on a credit card ?

Thanks for the reply, are there any words/phrases I should use in the email? not fit for purpose? 28 days? Yeah that was my thinking too, I think they will be very reluctant to refund me! I bought it on a debit card.
