Okay guys some of you will know me, others not.

I am currently on IS - Disability grounds and get CTC & DLA.

I am going self employed in the next few weeks and have established that I will get;

Working Tax Credit

Child Tax Credit

Disabled Workers Premium.

I know that this years tax credits 2012 to 2013 are based on last years income which was £0. What I am trying to establish is how they are paid.

I am due my next CTC payment on 26/11/12 and will receive 4 weeks money.

Is that money paid for the next 4 weeks or in respect of the last 4 weeks?

Also if I update my tax credit claim (which they have advised I can do by phone) and say I am starting my self employment from 26/11/12, when will I receive my working tax credit and is that paid 4 weeks in advance or 4 weeks in arrears.

I need to know this so I can sort out what money I am liable to have from the point of starting and how long I will need to make it last, if that makes sense???

I am just trying to get round 40 minutes sat on the phone waiting to get an answer and thought some of you on here might be able to tell me.

Also (don't want much do I) once I settle on the date of starting can I ring up to update the claim in advance, or I need to wait until the date.

thanks in advance
