Yes you will need to complete a fos consumer questionnaire...see here

http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/ppi.html

Send the completed questionnaire and print of the spreadsheet to the lender together with a brief covering letter.

Keep copies for yourself of course.

They will have 8 weeks to investigate and give you a final decision

Hi Caggers

got a reply from Citi today with an offer of repayment

the only problem is they haven't taken into consideration the first loan which was with Associates (now Citi)

and the figures they have do not reflect what I actually paid in PPI in the first place.

Am I worth just taking what they offer for one PPI claim and put another in for the first loan when they were Associates.

They do say on the offer letter that if I can send them a copy of the original agreement issued by "Citifinancial" they will reinvestigate,

but I cannot as it was issued by Associates;

are they just bluffing to save money?

I'm inclined to take the offer and put a secondary claim in for the first loan seperately.

Would I be able to do this as both loans and PPI are linked.

Thoughts appreciated PM.

Hi DX

I appreciate I'd lose a heap of money but would I still be able to put a claim in for me first loan which they have dismissed without a loan agreement which I have!! that I got off them when I DSAR'd them?

I'm not that bothered about getting the full 4500ish quid i'd worked out

but anything over 3 grand for both even claimed seperately I'd be happy,

as its money I wouldn't have had anyway. PM

IMHO i would not accept it,

reply simply saying why has the first loan not been done as it is intrinsinctly linked to the second.

Afternoon all

I've had a settlement for my second loan eventually.

When I sent the acceptance paperwork back

I sent a copy of my Associates agreement with PPI on as well

so they could give me a decision on this as well for PPI.

Now I've not heard from them and

I've rang the helpline a few times now and they say they have passed it onto the customer services team.

This is now well over 8 weeks since I sent the loan agreement in they requested.

Should I just go straight to the FOS for a decision as it seems they think I will just give up on the first loan?

Also on looking at my agreements they didn't include a thing called "TAKECARE COVER" which was £160 and £240 respectively for the loans

which shows on the page for the PPI.

Should I put a seperate complaint in to Citi to claim this "TAKECARE COVER" back with interest as it was life cover

which I already had and didn't need, still don't.

I'm in the mood for getting shirty with them now for having to chase them.

As always thoughts appreciated. PM

yes reclaim anything like that

as for the time takes

write a letter giving them 14 days [ as long a it HAS been 8 weeks since THAT complaint was reaised]

and state following this period

you will excalate the matter to the court or the FOS

where you think fit, without further communiation.

Hi there

After a SAR to Citifinancial, I've found that I had to pay an arrangement fee on two seperate loans I had with them. I also found that after putting a PPI claim in that I had a thing called TakeCare cover (life insurance that wasn't needed) added as part of the PPI paperwork but not included in the PPI refund. My questions are:

Are banks allowed to charge an arrangement fee? And if not can I claim it back with interest?

If this Take Care Cover was not part of PPI, can I claim this back with interest?

Now if I can claim with interest is there a simple calculator like the one used for PPI?
