Hi Could anyone tell me - if a person has a choice of taking redundancy or accepting their employers offer of going into a redundancy pool can they find out who will be in the pool beforehand? Also, does there have to be a minimum amount of people in the pool or is that up to the pooling criteria of the employers?

no, as everyoine has a similar choice to make so they may not know,

a pool implies a minimum of two

Never assume anyone on the internet is who they say they are. Only rely on advice from insured professionals you have paid for!

When pooling employees for redundancy, best practice would be to consult with staff about how such pools will be defined, and if you have any input in this part of teh consultation, you will consequently know how many and more or less who will be in the proposed pools.
