Hi guys,

Well then, I received a load or paperwork and recordings of the calls from them.

Bit baffling at first, however a couple of things I have noticed so far.

On the fact finding sheet relating to the MPPi, where the advisor has filled it in, he has left the address box completley blank?

There is an entry relating to a change of address to my home address,

I cannot remember the exact details but I know it was for the other policy I have,

now would it have been a case the FA should have changed the address on both policies as they were fully aware now that I did not live at the MPPi address?

bearing in mind they are with different companies?

It is possible i had contacted the company direct and they had written to the FA to advise as the paperwork is from the FA in a folder

but on headed paper of the insurer as i found the original.

Finally, there are several motor insurance quotes which I did not have copies of..

.which have my home address on..

.there is no date which is annoyying although they all have quote reference numbers.

I am yet to listen to the recordings but as soon as I do shall update!

Also I tonight found some papers from the FA which I am fairly sure is is not in the bundle they have sent through after the SAR hmmm!

Really apprecaited any comments and advice as always

Many thanks

Ed

Actually something I forgot to mention before...

When I got my initial response back, they said no evidence found or me saying I did not live at the address from phone calls listened to, I then did the SAR and got lots of papers and a cd of phone calls, this cd didn't work, so they ended up sending another which also doesn't work, grrr, they are again investigating, do you think this could be a delaying tactic?

When reading through the papers, I have found a logged phone call saying...called to change address...but they only change the address on one of my policies.

Should I try and get to listen to the phone calls before going any further?

It was end of last year I think when I did the first sheet and claim so guess it would have another 6 months of 8% on now?!

Cheers

Hi all,

Finally got some time to investigate this now,

and on listening to the recordings I cannot actually find where I said about not living at the address,

I can only assume they have given all the phone calls.

Its a bit of a tricky one as they didn't ask if I actually was living in the property I wanted covered,

but I also didn't tell them I wasn't as didn't realise it the importance :/

If I write again and say this, it almost seems I am back tracking as different to my first approach.

One thing I have found though,

the broker sold me two policies,

for some reason on one after about six months the insurance company were told I had a different address, must have been from me,

and the broker was also informed by the company, they must have updated the record for that as there is a letter,

but they didn't update the MPPi one, or was it not their responsibility?

They did also specifically say the MPPi cover was on redundancy and not mortgage related, however it clearly is mortgage related in all correspondence.

Feel a bit like clutching at straws, very frustrating as paid for a redundancy cover which when I was made redundant I couldn't use!

Any thoughts?

Cheers

E!
