COMET. Customer Services is a disgrace

Anybody got any advice because COMET have done nothing in 6 weeks after I reported a fault with a coffee machine that has a 5 year warranty.

 

Their customer care is appalling,

they make promises and nothing happens,

they don't answer emails.

 

I will think very carefully about every buying from them again.

 

What's the point of a warranty if they just hope you'll go away.

How old was the machine when it developed the fault?

It is 15 months and cost >£400.

Yes have to agree.

Comet have become one of the most complained about retail businesses on our forums,in most cases with little or no response.

However,only this week,we were approached by COMET Customer Services,who appear to want to try to address the problems.

Time will tell,but it may all be too little too late.For many CAG members,they will never give Comet any business again.

Also it is worth putting your complaints regarding this non existant Customer Service in writing and Send registered post address can be found on the COMET threads .

 

Was the 5 year warranty supplied by the Manufacturer of the machine or was this an extra which you Purchased from COMET over and above the initial cost of the machine ?

Yep, new news, the present owners are worse than the past and are looking to dump it because they havent the management skills to make it work.

Customer service would be a good place to start.

They are damaged goods.

There was a few bob put into it after the takeover but there was no structure to take on the likes of Dixons.

I think investors were very reluctant to throw more money into it.

This reminds me a little of what we saw with JJB Sports.
