All advice welcome

I had a payday loan with TLS and stupidly rolled over about 6 times - then I defaulted and set up an interest free payment plan over 5 months.

I have this set up by s/o to leave my acc on 27th each month and I made the 3rd payment at the end of last month.

This morning my twin brother ( same initial ) phoned me to say he had a message on his home phone asking if I could contact TLS .

They also called me this morning and said I hadn't made my payment but then checked their records and apologised saying they had made a mistake.

I do not know how they got my brothers phone number and am incensed that they have phoned him leaving a message for me to contact them.

What regulatory bodies can I complain to about this - also would I be in my rights to say to them I am not paying the final 2 instalments of £40 to them

Thanks

Same initial any of the directory inquiries sites could turn up the number, very unwise not to pay the installments.

It would seem a simple cross reference same initial same surname, complain to the creditor, but I can see no reason for ceasing your payments without it causing you even more problems!

It's not quite as simple as a creditor cross reference error as my brother has never used payday loans and they would have no info on their database

So how have they got his number ?

Why did they feel the need to phone him?

Why were details about TLS left on his answer machine which he googled and found to be a payday loan
