DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Hi dx. Thanks for replying.

The debt was run up with HSBC (a combination of overdraft and cheques) quite some time ago. About 10 years I think.

The debt was bought by Rockwell.

As my wife didn't have an income of her own,

I agreed to make monthly payments from my account. I

n hind-sight that was probably a mistake.

I was recently searching for a phone number for Rockwell with the intention of arranging a settlement figure.

That was when I came across this site, and on reading some of the posts here it would seem that Rockwell may never have had a legal claim to the debt.

So my queries are:-

1) Given the length of time I've been repaying them, would it still be advisable to challenge them?

2) If I do challenge them, would I be in a position to reclaim the payments I've already made?

3) If it is indeed too late to make any kind of challenge, is there any advice on how to obtain the best settlement figure?

Cheers
