When to announce pregnancy

I know that this is not the right forum to post this question but I did know where else to post. My sincere apology. Im 8 weeks pregnant and joined my new work on August. Im still under probation period until November. Im not sure when to announce pregnancy to work. Please can expert guide me here.

Here is a guide. You may wish to say earlier if your job has risk eg lifting heavy things!

Usually it's best to inform someone at work as soon as possible.

 

You're protected against suffering a detriment or dismissal on pregnancy and maternity grounds, so they can't just sack you because you're pregnant!

You don't have to say anything until you are 24 weeks but might be best to tell someone in confidence before then. My employers got a bit of a shock - I passed my probation period, announced I was 24 weeks pregnant, had bubs at 36 weeks so went off on mat leave. Came back after six months to tell them I was already 4 months PG with number 2 and that I would be taking all my annual leave that I'd accrued and going back on mat leave on X date. I resigned not long after I had my daughter but it was my choice, my employer couldn't really do anything
