I stumbled across this: Also, if a debt buyer can't sue you on an old debt, it might try other ways to get you to pay. One common collection technique is to "park" your old debt on your credit report; it quietly reports an old debt as new on your credit report. This is also called "re-aging" a debt. If you discover that an old debt has reappeared on your credit report as a new account or contains inaccurate information about its age or status, it might be because a debt buyer parked the debt on your report or re-aged the status of your debt. These debt collection practices might be illegal.

I recently travelled from Walton-on-Thames to London. I intended to get off at Vauxhall, and had bought a £5.65 ticket to do so. On an earlier journey to Walton-on-Thames, I had gone from Vauxhall directly and assumed that the same train terminating at Waterloo would get me back to my intended route. I did not realise that I needed to make a change in order to get back to Vauxhall, until we went past this station and I ended up at Waterloo. A ticket person stopped me there, and said I would be sent a fine for going to the wrong station and was incredibly rude suggesting it was stupid of me to not check where I was going, despite the fact that I was clearly distressed and crying by this point. I've now been sent a fine made up of £8.90 fare avoided (not sure how this works since the ticket was not that expensive) and also £100 'operational and administrative costs' which seems excessive. The letter says I can pay the fine or email to request a court hearing, and may have the Court's costs added to the fine. Not sure what to do as I don't want to risk paying more extortionate admin costs but I also feel this is incredibly unfair for what's clearly a genuine mistake. Thoughts? -
Hello, I did a adidas order around November 2021, returned it. Today I got a letter from DWF saying that I owe Adidas a lot of money for the returned goods, which I believe was either lost in transit or something. I am worried because I am only 19 and i’m not aware of all of this type of stuff. After I got the letter I rung them and asked about payments plans but haven’t set anything up I apparently owe them £400 Any advice on what to do what be greatly appreciated, do i pay? do i ignore them? I am only 19 and really worried about this Thank you.

I've just checked and Arrow Global have added a NEW account to my credit report .. I'm getting well annoyed now... How can they do this ? What do you make of the attached? Like I said, they warned me in the last correspondence that they would add a default to my credit report.. They can't surely add a new account out of the blue and flag that as a default? This is clearly their intention. In fact, how dare they add my account to my credit report. I don't have an agreement with them, this is clearly unlawful ? To be honest, I don't think that they can add a new account to my credit report out of the blue can they ?? I'm will to be speaking to the credit reference agencies as this is well out of order but I wanted to run this by you guys especially DX this evening as I've just stumbled across this just now. Credit score on Experian has shot down by 160 points. This has caused me to really get stressed Doc1.docx
