Just looking for some help. I am about to move home, the new house is currently empty, being sold by agent for bank, I believe it was repossessed.

So not a huge amount of detail is known about who supplied the electricity. Can I just pick anyone as it will be a new contract, or do I need to find out who the "current" supplier is, and if so how do I go about it.

Hi craig

Welcome to CAG

You could cause problems later on, if you just sourced a new supplier. Find out who the existing suppliers were or are. Make sure those suppliers are stopped and cancelled. Make sure you take current readings, that is so important. Once that's done, then search the best deal.

Please let us know how your problem has been resolved, it could help fellow Caggers.

Remember to take final readings (and keep them in a safe place) for your current address as well as the initial readings for your new house.

Good luck

Thanks to everyone, will update with results
