Today I recieved a letter from the Land Registry, a B10 notice of registration of a bankruptcy notice.

which states that my property is affected by a petiton in bankruptcy. On phoning the court I find that it is Llowell that has done this and I need to apear in court on the 2nd of October.

I can't remeber what this debt was as i have not recived any letters from this company in a while although I had offerred to pay £ 5.00 a month to them ages ago , but have recieved no replay.

Need HELP, scared that I will lose my home.

What you should do first is go to the court and get everything in the court files, tell the court officers that you are a litigant in person, they will make a small charge for copying of the paperwork. Did you ever see/ receive a statutory demand ? were you ever served one in person ? Are any of your alleged debts over 6 years old ?

You will need to defend this using form 6.19 you can find this here - http://www.bis.gov.uk/insolvency/About-us/forms/england-and-wales

You need to submit this in to the court at least one week before the hearing (so it is in the court files 7 days before the hearing) you will also need to send a copy to the opposing solicitors too (is it BWLegal ?) And you will also need to submit a witness statement too - this thread should give you some pointers - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?355482-SD-from-Lowells-via-Hampton-Legal-for-CAP1-card-debt-HELP!!&highlight=lowells

You will also find some similar threads on these forums if you search under Lowells / Hamptons / BWLegal

I would also suggest that you send a SAR to whoever owns the debt now (Lowells) and a SAR to the alleged original creditor - you can find the links in my signature below
