Hi everyone.

 

Can anyone tell me what to do know that the bank have settled my claim. I used the MCOL and it asks you to choose either..I accept the defendant's propsal of payment or the defendant as not made any proposal of payment.

 

When i pick the first one it continues for you to pick which payment method to send the bank etc. but they've already sent me a cheque...

 

any help would be appreciated Thanks...

Hi,

you can send an e-mail to the court with the claim number and let them know it has been settled. If the claim was transferred to your local court then look up the court via this link http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/HMCSCourtFinder/ and there should be an e-mail address for [email protected] so that is where you should send it. Request a read receipt when you send your e-mail to make sure it is delivered and dealt with. Alternatively you should write to the court, they do not accept confirmation via telephone.
