Being new to this forum I hope that someone can give me some advice. The current tenants in my residential property are leaving at the end of August. I have just found out that they have registered a limited company in December 2011 at my address. This is without any permission from myself. I have also been advised that they are using the double garage to store stock. Whilst their leaving should put an end to the problem, I am very concerned that as they already had a very poor credit rating i.e. house repossession, CCJ's etc. that any business registered at my address could have repercussions for my family at a later date. I am also worried that this could affect my insurance. Any advice regarding this would be most welcome.

Hi welome to CAG, Credit records are on individuals not addresses.

You must inform them in writting that the registration at your property

must be removed before they move out and you require written proof.

Any Letters I Draft are N0T approved by CAG and no personal liability is accepted.

Thanks, BRIGADIER2JCS for the information. I will write to them today and send a copy to the letting agents asking them not to release the deposit until we have written confirmation. I am still concerned regarding my insurance as they have already made a claim for damage to the property's patio doors after an attempted breakin, although the police advised that they could find no evidence of this. Perhaps I'm worrying unnecessarily!
