ESA50 Reassesment?

I was assesed for esa for ESA earlier this year and placed into the the support group for 6 months. This began at the end of April although my ESA payments did not start until early May. At the time I was awarded ESA I was told it would last for 6 months from the end of April which is until October.

 

So I was very surprised when on Monday I recieved through the post my new ESA50 form to be returned by the 1st of August. Does anyone know why they are sending this to me so soon? Are they thinking of changing the length of time I am on ESA?

The idea is that when the date in October comes round then they have the decision ready. So its not that the assesment starts in October - thats the date (roughly) they will have the assesment completed by.

 

Although 3 months beforehand does seem a little early!! Could just be that the length of time for the WCA to be completed is so long that they have to start it early??

Thanks, that makes sense I just thought that it would start in early september, in fact I am sure I was even told that. I don't think it makes much sense to push the assesments through so early as given another month or two I might have improved abit but as it is things are stll pretty bad for me and I have little choice but to submit an ESA50 which reflects my current poor heath. This system really is mental, it has so little regard for peoples health and allowng them the time to recover in peace.
