I submitted a SAR to the NatWest with the £10 postal order but its now been over 40 days and I have received no reply.

Is this normal?

Can anyone confirm the address I should have sent the SAR to?

For SAR I always favour the bank's registered office.

Nat West's is 135 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 3UR.

Send the failed SAR letter to them...its in the CAG library.

Have they cashed the postal order?

Please tell me you didn't send it to a PO box?

40 days from the day the creditor receives the SAR.

I posted on the 27/4/12 to the same address as you mentioned, but when I enter the tracking number at royal mail its still being progressed through the network for delivery.

Do they not normally sign Royal Mail recorded letters?

They should do

Contact RM and find out where this letter is. Odd that it hasn't been returned to you if hasn't been delivered.

Get a form from Post Office and fill in and give back to Post Office - and hope for a reply from them, I am still waiting after 10 months still no reply, lucky in my case the letter sent Recorded delivery has been mentioned in further correspondence from that particular company.

Check to see if the postal order has been cashed. Telephone : - 01246 542091.

You will need the receipt you got from the post office when you purchased the PO, as it has the ID number of the postal order on it.

If they confirm it has been cashed, ask them to confirm this in writing for you. They are usually pretty good about doing this.

Meanwhile, send the failed SAR letter as already advised .

I phoned royal mail and the postal order has not been cashed and they also said the letter is missing and it cannot be located.

So I am going to send the letter again with another postal order.

You need to make your claim for both the missing letter and the Postal order - make sure you take a copy of the postal order receipt before sending it to the Post office for refund.
