These are just claims companys trying to [problem] you into giving them work and charging you megabucks for doing something which you could easily do for yourself.

The cost to actually make the claims that I have made is usually around £10.00 for the SAR and two lots of postage at was then £1.23 so about £12.46. AND the claims co wants 25% - 30% of the payout, I should cocoa.

Don't let them con you.

Follow the advice on here and do it all yourself.

I'm sure one of the experts will be along soon and start you off in the right direction.

However, it seems that the first thing is, Do you have all your statements/agreements etc.

If the answer is no, than SAR the company (Template available in the library - green link above)

Also read some of the threads on here. The experts posts usuallu have links that take you to good information, always worth a read.

That's sorted that then.

Pick a couple of likely targets, SAR them, see what comes back. See if you have been mis-sold PPI and if so start to put a claim together.

Plenty of help on here, so best get started then LOL.

Hi Chris,

I've received SARS from a few of my old creditors without any account numbers. I just stated the address I was at when I got the card/loan, gave them the option of contacting me for ID if not satisfied with the details I provided. (none of them did) Although Lloyds sent the info to my local branch and I had to show ID when I collected it.

I started with one to see how that went, and then moved on to the others :-).

Good luck

Hi

Yep all good advice above

SAR is always the first step in a case like this.

Add a line to end of the SAR that it is to include copies of all and any agreements you have had with the lender.

Give your full name and address(es) you have lived at (ideally while the loan/card was running)
