It depends what do you mean bu "back to work credit"?

If you mean the job grant, housing benefit/mortgage interest and council tax benefit then as long as you declare on your claim closure that you are returing to employment of 16 hours or more per week and the work is expected to last 5 weeks or more and no payment of the runs on has previously been paid in the preceeding 26 weeks it is paid relatively quickly.

If you meant the return to work credit due to claiming for a long term health condition on ESA or Incapacity benefit then I'm afraid I don't know how quickly the payments are currently taking on those (each benefit centre has different processing times)
