Why all Money claims being dealt with by Northampton county court,STRANGE,arent most banks based there

Hi all,

Can someone tell me why all Money claims as of March2012, moving to Northampton county court. Arent all the big banks usually based there or have i got it wrong,seems a little convenient doesnt it or am i being a touch paranoid.

Yes, money claims always been in Northampton, or are you confusing this with the new system where all new claims are dealt with centrally ?..This is in Salford.

 

Nothing to do with banks, I doubt whether bank related claims make up much of the % of new claims.

Actually, it IS because of the bank prescence (specifically Barclays) that the bulk issue centre is Northampton County Court. When the first volume processing operation was set up by the Court Service (the Summons Production Centre) Northampton CC was chosen because it already had an established volume operation, dealing with Barclaycard claims which were all issued there. And it all developed from there.

 

And although money claims are now processed through the business centre in Salford, they are still badged as Northampton County Court matters.
