Recently I received a letter from Parking Eye.

They show photo proof I entered/left a ferry car park in Southampton and issued a parking charge of £110 (£75 if paid early).

I replied enclosing my timed parking & ferry tickets, explaining that I did pay but clearly took longer before & after the time on the ticket to sort out children, buy tickets, etc etc.

I apologised & explained it was unintentional as I didnt realise I had to pay for the perusal time/time I was still with the car.

They responded with a minor amendment to the original letter, but not a personal response, saying 'insufficient time was paid for.

..thus the parking charge is payable & remains outstanding'.

I paid for 3 hours, but was 'in the car park' for 3h41mins.

I've responded saying 'I did what was reasonable. I am not prepared to pay your invoice'. BUT..

... Ought I pay?

Any further help valued please.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

First you should give yourself a slap on the wrist for contacting them.

Second IGNORE all further begging letter's that you get off them and anyone else, even the ones with scary looking red ink and CAPITAL LETTER'S.

A private company does not have the authority to issue fines, only the police or council can do that.

Relax, and keep all letter's you receive, just in case you run out of toilet paper.
