what is the fca? just a rehash of what was? resetting the clock? start from the beginning again? more talk, meetings, consultations, etc before anything gets done, if at all? and if not, then start allover again with the fea (financial excuses agency)

indeed. 'what if'. but, even if people voice their concerns, not necessarily heard , it is still down to their policy. things can only usually poss change at electoral level, if they stick to what they pledge, which is uncommon. legislation/policy rarely changes mid term. its a policy of appeasement, with financial cost saving in mind.

Unfortunately, they only seem to "listen" when they're looking for votes - or to people who are in favour of their policies!

lots of strikes, demo's etc recently (not saying that they're right or wrong), but will a gov't lend an ear? only if it serves their purpose. recent swing in councillors may persuade the current one. take the bankers. they pretty much have a controlling say in any gov't of the day, so it's always best to keep them happy although maybe not on the public face of it. hence the fca for eg maybe being just an appeasement. time will tell.
