Hi,

You will notice that once you are logged in that no such advert appears so what I would do is when you log in, tick the box that says 'remember me' That way, when you log in each time, the adverts won't be there.

If you are asked to deal with any matter via private message, PLEASE report it.

Ok, will do however, it is not me that I am concerned about. I am not IT literate! but I presume that there is no way to prevent these ads otherwise. Just thought it was strange.

Thanks

Apart from authorised adverts which appear on most pages, the 'bad ads' appear only on the front page

The site signed up for a Google Adsense account, they gave CAG a code to put on the site, which shows random adverts. Google try to make the ads relevant by looking at the contents of the page on which the ads are shown. So which ads are shown are up to Google's automated system. Google divide their ads into about a dozen different categories, and we can elect for some of these categories not to be shown. The FINANCE catagory is sending in the payday loans windows, if we blocked it, ALL finance related adverts would be affected. The ads are click through meaning that if someone clicks the ad then we as a site get a few pence.

From my experience as a former admin of a major gaming site, we used to use adsense a lot. Google usually offer a contact so you can ask them to strip certain adverts from a category appearing on the site. They still let you have the finance category, but add a few additions to your account so the erroneous ones dont show.

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

If my advice helps you, click the star icon at the bottom of my post and feel free to say thanks
