Dear All,

Please could you guide me as to what area of Law I would use to effectively charge a bank for loss of income (Damages). A Bank caused me to lose £1800 of loss income when my Bank manager was off ill !! They kept on cancelling appointments and I lost a whole heap of money!!!

Thanks TP

You need to get things together so you have a case. Can you show the cancelled appointments were the cause and the only cause of you losing money. If the manager was ill, wouldn't that be classed as 'circumstances beyond our control'.

There is a whole host of things to be certain of before you go down that road.

Hi Conniff,

They have admitted liabilty and offered £100. Yes I can show the missed appointments....I even have work details illustrating time taken off.On arrival after travelling for an hour they would state the appointment is cancelled..No phone call or e-mail..

A signature is somewhere you can pop permanent personal messages annecdotes or whatever at the bottom of your post that show on every post, (subject to some rules).

rebell11 has a list of 'must reads' as his signature and invites you to click on No14 and read.
