I am feeling more and more like Alice through the Looking Glass :o

I phoned Simon Lamb at the Customer Care Team in Southampton and he remembered the visit from the bailiffs ;) but the matter had not been passed on to him and he was quite surprised about that. He said he would investigate and phone me back, which he did. Well, whaddya know - Cobbetts apparently paid me off on August 4th but guess what - they paid the money into my RBS mastercard account  which as Simon so rightly pointed out, is not much help to me because it just goes to pay off my balance. Also, the b******s didn't pay the warrant fee. They have not notified me or even asked me if I accepted the offer (is this what's meant by an offer you can't refuse - because you don't know anything about it!) If they had taken the trouble to ask me, I would have told them the correct amount including up-to-date interest + the warrant fee + a certain amount for all the phone calls I 've had to make. I am so going to make them pay for them. I am so mad I could spit and I phoned Cobbetts again but still can't get anyone to talk to me (apart from the operators) because I don't have a flippin reference. I left a message on someone's voicemail to call me back but whether she will or not I don't know.

Very ****ed off now - going to open a bottle

Good God Ruby!!! Have you thought of jazzing up your story with a car chase and selling it to John Grisham?

My LBA goes out tomorrow - hope it goes slightly better than your fiasco but the bank never even responded to the initial letter!

RBS in my sights.

Hello,

My wife has told me that, if we are reading this Thread correctly, that if RBS had a judgement (CCJ) against them, the sort that would go on a Credit file, you need to contact the FSA and the Consumer Credit License as with a CCJ against your name you are not allowed to practise financial planning i.e ISA's, Mortgages, giving financial advice etc.

If you want the details let me know and we can get them for you:) .

Best regards

yeah Im sure they'd soon pay up Ruby if this is true, Im sure I've actually heard this somewhere else as well, so must be worth a shot.

Better than waiting for bailiffs again!

I would then contact the Sun & Mirror Newspapers, the Daily Mail, cos they like stories like this, then email BBC News 24, because they would take notice as well.

Any finance company big or small that gets a judgement against them CAN not practise any financial planning:D . I would DEF report RBS.

Best regards

Don't give the royal bank any more time than you already have, I gave them loads of extra time to respond to my first letter as they came up with a thousand excuses, they then offered me £452 which was nothing so i sent a letter refusing the offer and giving them 14 days to refund my money or I would be forced to start legal action..

Would you believe it, on the 14th day they have sent me a letter requesting the dates and amounts and the reason I want them refunded... I did that over a month ago...

They are taking the P*ss and stalling for time, i'm filling my court action today!!

Blue,

if I hadn't been following your story for the last few months I wouldn't believe it! If Angry from 'Pool can get on GMTV about NaffWest then you should definately go and get on Richard & Judy, hmmmm, aren't they all part of the same group????!!!!

I would blow the whole thing to the Press and then see what happens, you could get a pay off from the Bank to keep quiet!!

Even if you don't want to go down that route, letting the bank know that your considering going to the press can't hurt your case I imagine!!

Too right Gargoil,

especially if you sent a letter with your intended story to Mr Tommy, it doesn't even need embellishing Blue, the truth is, as you say, almost too fabulous to believe! How about calling it "The Bankers" a la Grisham title....

Hi

Did you phone simon lamb in southampton because you have claimed online? or is it your nearest court. I'm trying to decide who to phone to get things moving - still waiting for bailiffs to go in for the second time. Getting very p****d off.
