Hi I was wondering if it was worth me claiming at all on the following information below? Forgive the lengythness of the post, but I read somewhere there was a spreadsheet, and well without sounding dumb i cant seem to get figures correct???

Can anyone help me.? I have contacted the companies direct and these are the figures

Details as follows

Welcome Finance

Loan 1 for £500 total 818 as 408 ppi was put on

Loan 2 for £500 rolling up above loan 6 months later into it with another 425 ppi put on

Loan 3 further roll up of above for £1000 6 months later with an additonal 169 ppi put on

Loan 4 further roll up of above loan with additonal £500 6 months later and another 355 ppi put on

Loan 5 further roll up of above loan with additional £500 9 months later and a further 435 ppi put on

* all of the loans at Welcome took place between 99-02 which seems a lot of ppi in that time

Lloyds Tsb

They gave me a loan to pay off the above (£2500) and charged me £35 a month cover ppi when i already had a policy for sickness and accident salary cover. A further loan was added £1500 onto the this account with an additonal £15.87 a month added for ppi. Total term was 4 years at £117

Ge Finance Home Money

£8000 loan over 5 years with £848 advance ppi added on as a single premieum (it was a secured loan on preoperty and funnily enough they was my mortage provider (£52000) at the time and i also paid ppi on that.....mmm)

Just curious to see what figures I could expect from this??

Hi

Have you got all of the statements/records of payments for all of these loans?

If not your first step will be to SAR each lender.

Also have a read of No.1 in my signature as you have rollover PPI and there is information there on how to do the calculations when you have the statements

Well funnily enough, yes i contacted them only yesterday first by phone, had a nosey on here and then fired off the letters today to them. I was just a tad confused as by "days lapsed" in the spreadsheet. All of the above loans have been paid in full, and i owe nothing to any of them at all.

I did do an line calculator from a CMC and for all of the above came out at a figure of £5873 in compensation. Does that sound right??

@dx - what kind of figure?

you need on each loan to workout what % of your PCM was PPI

its that you reclaim from each month you paid it.

Will do.

I recieved a letter from GE on Saturday (14th April) saying they acknowledge my SAR request and that they will fully comply within the 40 day period, but will not send any details of any phone calls made unless I can specifially state the time, the date and the person I spoke to! Seems strange to me, but I never spoke to them personally so I am not worried, but might be of importance to anyone else.

AXA Sun Life

SAR request sent, they are investigating the matter but the person on the phone who took my details has said, it seems highly likey that I will receive £700 for the savings plans that I had given the fact it was made a court order to repay all premiums. As I moved house AXA explained they were unable to contact me for a refund, but now I have been in touch will make provisions to deal with the matter.

No post from any other company recieved as yet.

When giving companies 40 days to respond to a SAR request, do those days include weekends and Bank Holidays or not?

Do they have to acknowledge the letter or have to send the detail by the 40th day?

What is the next step if no information is received after 40 days (or what I have read 42 days 40+2 day postage rule)

Apologies if the information is here somewhere, But I didnt come across anything in the stickies.

Appreciate any help here.

As advised to create a post on here reference to my orginal post here

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?342043-What-can-i-claim

This is currently my situation of which I will keep progress updated

Loan 1 for £500 total 818 as 408 PPIlink3.gif was put on

Loan 2 for £500 rolling up above loan 6 months later into it with another 425 ppi put on

Loan 3 further roll up of above for £1000 6 months later with an additonal 169 ppi put on

Loan 4 further roll up of above loan with additonal £500 6 months later and another 355 ppi put on

Loan 5 further roll up of above loan with additional £500 9 months later and a further 435 ppi put on

* all of the loans at Welcome took place between 99-02 which seems a lot of ppi in that time

* all loans paid off and i owe nothing

On top of that:

I also had a loan from 1st stop loans in about 2004 for £7500 which had about £1500 ppi put on from i can see by my screen shots of my credit files from back in 2008 ( it shows a balance off £9104 at start up)

* The loan is paid - i owe nothing.

I called 1st stop loan group last week, who said they took over from 1st stop loans a few years ago and that they had no information on me. The chap i spoke to who used to work for the previous group stated that these loans would have been provided by Welcome finance. He even gave me the contact details of the company who would have provided the ppi cover.I then called them and they had no record of me. Then I spoke to welcome finance and they have no record of this loan either. I have now gone the SAR route.

On the 29th March Welcome recieved my letter with a postal order for £10 for my SAR data, signed for by a A.Connor. As I write this tonight (17/04/12) I have recieved no acknowledgment by Welcome.

I will keep you updated as and when i hear anything.

Two threads merged and tidied.

This will be a non money claim as it is to force compliance with the DPA.

The court will be able to tell you the fees payable.

Form N1 is the one you will need but they still have a couple of days to comply following your LBA don't they?

Did you head your letter "Letter Before Action"?
