Ive just received my bank statements for my old barclays account from 1998 to 2004 for 3 seperate accounts. I'm claiming back my unauthorized borrowing fee charges etc, thing is im not sure what a charge looks like on my account and how much for it will be. Could be between £20 - £35.

So can someone who has had a Barclays account for quite a few years remember and tell me how much the charge was for direct debits not being honoured when no money is in the account and if its been the same since 1998 or has there been an increase in price.

Also what does it come under on the statment, ive seen a few things called referral fees at £20.

Any help please.

You can claim for referal fees which are between £20 - £30 depending on year

Unpaid outs between £20 - £35 depending on year

If you have a additions account you should not add the account fee. This would be between £7 upwards as this is a fee which has been agreed by you to use the account.

Hope this helps.

From my understanding - you should only be going back to the year 2000 (six years) if anyone else can correct this if I am wrong, will be only two happy to be corrected.

If you write to Head Office Customer Relations, they have a freepost address - not sure what it is but it's on the website under contact us and then complaints.

They'll end up dealing with your letter anyway, so unless you plan to use recorded mail you may as well save the price of a stamp.

Mark, first of all look here as if you had read these, you would know what to expect and this would not be a shock to you.

http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/faqs-please-read-these/31460-step-step-instructions.html

The form you refer to is the Allocation Questionnaire, again this is perfectly normal and you should look here for details on how to complete it.

iGroup (GE Money) - AoS Filed late, defence late, amended defence also late despite extra time requested and granted.
