Hi All :)

Looking for some advice please...

When I got my first job, in about 2006, I already had a Barclays Account that my wages were paid into...

I got given an Overdraft (that I didn't ask for and didn't even know I had for a while!) of about £400.00

I was looking to see if I could claim back charges that have accured on this account? Any advice?

I was already wondering if you can claim back charges on bounced payments?

I do still have the account, but my wages are now paid into another.

Thanks in advance, any help of advice would be much appreciated :)

Hi AJ,

Generally, the only time you can now reclaim current a/c charges is if you're suffering Financial Difficulty.

See this Article for more on the subject - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/content.php?557-Letter-for-an-application-for-consideration-for-hardship

Unless you are now, or were recently, suffering FD, you're unlikely to get anything back from the bank unless they have treated you unfairly. More about this here - http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/announcement.php?f=7&a=220

:-)

We could do with some help from you
