Hello there hope all is well.

as the title shows I am wondering ifthis is possible.

my friend has been moved onto the pension credit for couples as was on JSA but their partner is receiving their pension for over a year now so some adviser at the jobcentre pointed out would e better off on that and should have moved onto a year ago !

would they be able to claim for backdating and how would they do it ?

cheers all

They can request backdating for a maximum of 3 months. Any income recived in this period from JSA and the pension will be taken into account and any payment that would have been owed for that period will then be considered

make sure they specify when they make the claim that they want to be considered for 3 months bbackdating prior to the date of contact.
