Hey all.

First post here. I am sorry if this has been covered before, but I really need some help and guidence.

I have accepted Voluntary Redundany from my job of 10 years. The payment being made is very generous. I am fully aware of the TAX and NI contributions that will need to be made.

I had assumed that I would not be able to make a claim for JSA as I was being given a large(ish) amount of money, but I think I might be able to claim contribution based JSA? Is this correct?

I have never been unemployed or claimed any benefits before, but I think after paying TAX and NI for over 20 years with no gaps then I should claim what I am entitled to.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

You can make a claim for contribution based JSA and the level of your redundancy payment will not effect this, however you will only receive JSA © if you are actively seeking and available to take full time employment.
