I've recently consolidated all my outstanding debts to a Debt Management Company and have met with a surprising amount of success (I no longer hear from the majority of companies)...

And then along came PDE. Payday have been sent my Letter of Authority, 6 times on 3 separate occasions. 3 times by the DMC and 3 times by myself. By fax, email and post.

And STILL Payday are point blank refusing to acknowledge any receipt of the letter whatsoever. One person at PDE assured me that they weren't ignoring my letters, to which my reply was, "You would say that. You're still charging my card £300 a day". It didn't go down well.

Is there anything I can do to make sure PDE receive and actually acknowledge this letter? I've sent one by recorded delivery which was received, but surprise surprise, has since disappeared. In a way, it's not a major problem as I've long since cancelled my card. But the continuing texts and automated phone calls telling me my debt has defaulted etc etc are getting slightly annoying!

Log everything, including phone calls and texts they've made, attempts you've made to sort their mess out, wrap it all up in a nice bundle and get complaints off to FOS, OFT and Trading Standards.

It appears you've been more than reasonable in your numerous attempts made to provide them the information, if they've decided to ignore it, why waste more of your time trying?

Dont forget the British Cheque Cashers Association too, I believe PDE are a member.

Copy in MP Stella Creasy who is investigating payday loan companies and has journalists waiting to name and shame the companies who misbeheave.
