About weeks 3 ago my partners shopping in Sainsburys and was approached by this a rep from Sainsburys Energy asking her if she woild like to switch gas supply to them then gave her some calculations on what she would save. He then asked if she would like to sign up, she said no not until she had spoken to me. He said that ok someone will ring you within 7 days and asked her to sign that he had given her the relevant info, she again reiterated that she wasnt prepared to sign a contract with them again he said her signature was only for his boss to see that he had carried out the proper procedure in showing her the savings that could be made, he also asked for bank details which she refused to give. Heard nothing for 3 weeks until today when she got a letter from Npower saying sorry you are leaving us. I have today called npower but had to take out a new contract as the existing one was cancelled. I also called sainbury energy and they have started a complaints procedure. They also informed me that not only was my gas to be switched to them them the electricity was to follow a week later. Sainsbury energy called it an erroneous switch, I think fraudulent would be nearer the mark.My question now is does anyone have any contact details of someon high up at sainsbury stores as this took place on there premises and I dont want it sweeping under the carpet and other people falling for this sharp practice

If your new contract with NPower is disadvantageous to you then you might be looking to Sainsburys for some compensation.

Another reason not to sign anything if you aren't going to enter a contract or agreement.

Regarding the signing of the comparison, the bloke repeatedly lied about about what was being signed and assured my wife repeatedly that she wasnt signing up to switch, only to say that he had done his job correctly. With hindsight she shouldnt have signed but when you go shopping in one of the country;s leading supermarkets you dont expect to become the victim of a confidence trick by one of their employees. That is why I want to find the contact details of someone of higher authority in the organisation. Maybe they are not aware of these practices being carried out in their name and if it saves someone else being trapped then that can only be a good thing.
