Just opened post from HSBC (recently settled a full £1707 MCOL claim), and it's an updated terms and conditions letter.

The most interesting being their new "Fair Fees Policy" which, to sum up is stating -

* 1st unauth O/D fee free in every 6 month period (I thought this was already in place).

* no unauth O/D fee for being £10 O/D or less.

* you will not pay more in fees than you are overdrawn by in any one month.

and the most interesting....

* no fee for an unauth O/D transaction as long as your account is credited by the end of that day.

It does still however state that their "arrangement" (ie automated) fee remains at £25. So it still doesn't go any way to acknowledging that their fees remain unlawful.
