Hello everyone!

I am new on this site and also new with this kind of problem. I had a 12 month contract but I was happy with the gym so I stayed an other almost 6 months but 2 months ago I tried to cancel because I moved and now they sending me threatening letters from ARC and solicitor to pay them £200. Here is my first letter what I was writing to them:

Hi Stefi,

I've moved your post into your own thread that you can use from now on.

We can't see the letter you posted above but that probably doesn't matter.

As you posted on a Virgin thread originally, I assume yours is a Virgin Gym m/ship. Is that right ?

On the contract that you signed, what does it say about cancelling after the initial contract period has expired.

Please don't worry about ARC's demands and threats. They are mostly hot air and we will help you to sort this out without having to pay them £200. Can you tell us how they arrive at the figure of £200.

If any of what they are demanding is admin fees, they are not enforceable as they are effectively unlawful penalties.

Also, I doubt they can demand a full years fees in the 2nd year.

What is the approx monthly m/ship fee.

We could do with some help from you
