hey,

thanks in advance for any info,

I have an orange mobile contract on my credit file showing a default and settlement,

the problem is that it appears twice! (well, kinda twice.. it looks like I've had two contracts but the second has no start or end balance or settlement)

could I get this removed from my data file?

also I have an old Tmobile contract which there was a bit of a mix up over (they ended up owing me £45!)

but for a while there was a dispute and I ended up with a bill of £400 which shows up as a default and settlement..

is there any way to remove this too.

. I've three settled accounts now on my file! which is good..

but lots of red.. which is not so good.. (there is an ancient virgin account where I owed them £120 showing as a settled default too on there)

I'd love to get these got rid of if it's possible.. but I'm not even sure where to look.. or if I can actually do this!

All defaults are removed after six years paid or not,

credit reference files have to show the up tp date

accurate picture of the conduct of the accounts,

they only suggestion I can give you is ti write to

the data controllers of the companies that placed

the entries, be aware though they are under no

obligation to remove the entries.

I think I have the same problem

I have two debts whic were settled in September 2011, one from Halifax and one from T mobile.

On Experian there is one entry for Halifax, stating there is an outstanding debt.

On Equifax there are two entries for t-mobile, on from Lovells saying settled and one from t-mobile, for the same debt saying its defaulted in 2008.

There is also another entry on Equifax for Halifax, stating a debt and also the last update date is 2008.

Will these affect my credit rating and how can I rectify these things?

I have contacted Lovells, Halifax and T mobile several times but nothing happened.

Also, anyone has a contact on here for t mobile and Halifax please?

thanks

Mariann
